Observations from Rwanda: January 20, 2025

A year ago yesterday, Jan. 19, 2024, we enjoyed the farewell reception given for Teresa and I as we wrapped up our time at the Rwanda Institute for Conservation Agriculture (RICA). We have been back in Nebraska almost a year now, very much enjoying being closer to family, and being back at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. However, we also deeply miss the RICA family and Rwanda. We were privileged to be back in Rwanda last September for the graduation ceremony of the class of 2024 – the second cohort of students at RICA. We were also privileged to be joined on our trip by Glen Slater, long-time friend and UNL colleague. The photos below are from that visit to Rwanda and RICA.

As our extended time in Rwanda is complete and our visits back to RICA will be infrequent, this will be my last posting to Kilimbi Views, and I will shut the site down later this year. Thanks very much for following our journey over the past six years.
